Kids deserve a place to play. Parents deserve to sit down.
Better Days is Roanoke's first play cafe: a clean, cozy indoor play space for little ones, with real coffee and a comfortable seat for you. We're building it right now.
Opening soon in Roanoke, Virginia.
What a better day looks like
Three things in one room. That's the whole idea.
Play they can get lost in
Imaginative play built for babies through early elementary, with soft edges, a lot to climb, and the whole room visible from your chair.
Coffee you'd actually go out for
Real espresso, hot while you drink it. Snacks for small hands and a few things that aren't crackers.
People who get it
Other parents, grandparents, and caregivers on the same kind of morning. Meet a friend here, or make one.
Hi, I'm Sara.
I'm a Roanoke native and have spent nearly a decade working with children, including seven years as a nanny for the same family. Over those years, I learned a lot about kids. I also learned a lot about parents. I saw how hard it can be to find places where kids can play safely while parents can actually relax, have a conversation, meet other parents, or just enjoy a coffee without feeling like they're constantly chasing their little one around.
Better Days is being created with a simple idea in mind: kids deserve a place to play, and parents deserve a place to feel welcome, too.

Why Roanoke, why now
The Roanoke Valley has museums, playgrounds, and trampoline parks. It does not have a true play cafe, the kind of place families here drive to Lynchburg for.
We're building the one you'd want in your own neighborhood, and we're asking you what that means before we buy a single toy.
